There are a few pre-designed courses, which include basic computer skills, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Email & Internet.
But I have found that people learn faster and enjoy their computer more if they learn about things that are relevant to their day-to-day lives. For example, some of my clients ask me to teach them how to do their monthly household finances on the computer. And in this process they learn how to use Excel. Others want to research a particular area of interest on-line (like recipes or holiday destinations), and so learn about the Internet.
Once we have an idea of what you want to learn a lesson time will be set up. You will be given step-by-step printed course notes on all areas covered in your lesson (for future cribbing!). Exercises relevant to your personal areas of interest will also be sent to you, so you can practise what you have learnt , in your own time. Any problem areas can be discussed in your next lesson.
